The following pieces are examples of Nishi's work. All are sealed and hold liquid. Additionally, they can be used in the microwave and oven and washed in the dishwasher.
"Pelican" teapotWestern-style teapot with built-in fine-holed ceramic strainer in the spout to allow tea leaves to steep throughout the pot. Vertically carved lines are aesthetic as well as comfortable for the hands. Tea cups are free form for comfort. | Square platterStamped in the center with handmade stamps. This platter works well as a tray for a tea set, for a cheese-grape-jam ensemble, or for cookies, breads, or cakes. |

Tea bowlLarge tea bowl glazed with a Japanese shino. Iron underneath this thick glaze crystallizes through the shino. |
